Welcome to the site! My name is Derek Pham and I’m a practicing structural engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area with more than 14 years of civil and structural engineering work experience at both public agencies and private consultants. I started this website because throughout my career from college to where I am today I have always felt that there’s a lack of unified and consolidated information on the web about our profession and how we can use our skills in a productive way both at work and outside of work. As both a licensed civil and structural engineer but still a millennial, I have enough experience (undergrad, graduate school, taking engineering exams, working at consulting firms and public agencies, doing construction projects for my own house) but not too far removed from college that hopefully I can give you relevant guidance to help you succeed in your career and financial goals.
